PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERORIENTASI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstract


ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine whether problem-based learning-oriented teaching materials are valid and practical in improving mathematical communication skills. Materials that do not relate problems in real-world contexts and students' low mathematical communication skills are the reasons this research was conducted. This type of research is development (development research). This study uses a 4-D development model Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel by developing teaching materials oriented to problem-based learning approaches. The teaching materials developed are teacher books and student books. The trial was carried out on 32 students of class VII-4 and VII-5 at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Susu. From the results of trial I and trial II it was obtained: The validity of teaching materials according to the expert team was valid, and practicality teaching materials have met the practical criteria in terms of: a) the validator states the teaching materials can be used with minor revisions; b) the results of observations of the implementation of teaching materials have been said to be good.
