Pengaruh Model Problem Solving Terhadap Kemampuan Debat Siswa Kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem Solving learning model on debating skills in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The method used is experimental research. The data collection tool uses tests in debating practice. The population in this study were 178 students. The sample of this research class is 35 students as an experimental class. The ability of students to debate before using the Problem Solving learning model in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 8Kisaran for the 2022/2023 Academic Year has an average of 70.7. The highest score is 85, the moderate score is 75, and the lowest score is 60. Students' ability to debate after using the Problem Solving learning model in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran for the 2022/2023 Academic Year has the highest score is 95, the moderate score is 85, and the highest score is the lowest is 75. There is a significant effect of using the Problem Solving learning model on debating abilities in class X students of SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran for the 2022/2023 Academic Year because based on the results of the t test the tcount results are greater than t table, namely 5% = 2.042. 12.35 > 2.042. This means that there is a significant influence of the Problem Solving learning model on debating abilities in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
