Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted based on the background of the problem that learning mathematics using technology is more attractive to students in the geometric transformation course. Students are required to use technology in accordance with current world developments. In accordance with the learning era 4.0, learning is required to use technology, namely blended learning. The lecture process with blended learning is more effective and efficient for students and lecturers in terms of time. Lecturers provide lecture material with online learning through the use of applications. The use of applications for online lectures by lecturers is more flexible depending on the lecturers' abilities. The applications used by lecturers are also very diverse, some use Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meeting, Cloud X, Webex, IG Live, Youtube or Whatsapp Group (WAG). This study uses the Webex application, by using this application lectures are deemed more effective because lecturers and students can communicate directly in various places. Attendance is also scored more real because the lecturer can see everything directly, which one has joined or not. Learning can take place well in an emergency or in very busy activities for both the lecturer and the student. The purpose of this research is to implement the webex application in the lecture process. The purpose of this is to familiarize students with communicating by utilizing technology. Lectures are carried out online through the webex application. The 6th semester students of Asahan University's S1 Mathematics Education Study Program are the subject of this research.
